Alice Vera has been a professional photographer for over 20 years. After graduating Germane School of Photography in New York City, she worked as a photographer as well as a custom photographic printer.

Her first business called "The Original Image" opened in Mt. Kisco, NY in 1985. In addition to photography, the business offered large custom photographic prints.

As a child, Alice vacationed every summer in Saranac Lake, and no matter where her family moved she always felt the mountains were her home. After eight years in Mt. Kisco, she decided to fulfill a lifelong dream and move to the Adirondacks.

Her love and extensive knowledge of the Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Tupper Lake, and Plattsburgh areas help her to capture the beauty they have to offer.

Alice Vera Photography was started in 1994. In 1999 Alice moved her business out of her home and into 24 Broadway in Saranac Lake. The Broadway location proved to be unsatisfactory and she had an addition to her house constructed to house a new state of the art photographic studio and outdoor photopark. The studio can accommodate a large family. She offers studio, location, and in home portraiture. Wedding couples have the option of photographing in the studio should the weather not cooperate that day.

One of the unique characteristics of Alice Vera's studio is the time and effort she gives each session. Meeting with everyone involved before the actual photography allows Alice to plan the final portrait to suit the needs and taste of each individual client. Alice creates one of a kind fine portraiture to be used as art in the home.
